Nokia outs E5, an S60 QWERTY smartphone for mobile professionals

Today Nokia announced the E5, the company's latest Eseries phone that's targeted at mobile professionals. The E5 follows other popular executive devices such as the E72 and the E63, and it offers the ability to reconfigure its user interface for business and personal life at the tap of a button.

The E5 supports 90 percent of the world's corporate email servers including Mail for Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, as well as personal IMAP/POP accounts. The phone appears to have a revamped homescreen over the aforementioned E63 and E72, with the ability to dial out contacts at the click of a button by selecting their contact photo. It also sports a 5 megapixel camera with flash and auto-focus.

The phone offers a metal chrome-colored backplate, and will be available in white, black, and baby blue.
